Our Sea Salt Story


Sea Salt Day Spa was born from a simple conversation between two esthetics students back in 2019. In school, Janay and Nicole found themselves chatting and brainstorming about their futures — connected by a shared love for relaxation, a passion for corrective skincare, and a collective desire to help people find moments of peace.

That day, Nicole started a list, a creative brainstorm of every idea they had for their “dream spa.” Though their careers took them down different paths, they stayed in touch, always saying, “When we open our dream spa…”

Then in 2025, Janay discovered the perfect location. A calming, welcoming space with just the right energy, and that list from years ago came back to life, and Sea Salt Day Spa became real.

Today, Sea Salt is a peaceful, intentional space built on years of vision, friendship, and a genuine love for skin and self-care. Whether you’re here to relax, renew, or heal, we’re honored to be part of your journey.

  • Janay

    Owner / Esthetician

    Janay’s career began in the medical field as a sonographer. After having her two kids she realized how important self care is to the body and the mind.

    Janay has won Best of Silverdale two years in a row and is NCEA certified. She is always learning and expanding her education to provide a well rounded experience that offers deep relaxation and optimal skincare health.

    Outside of the spa you will find Janay reading, enjoying precious friendships, and spending time outdoors with her family trying to slow down time and savor life’s little blessings.

  • Nicole

    Owner / Esthetician

    Nicole Born is a highly skilled and NCEA-certified esthetician with expertise in Korean skincare. She has honed her craft and expertise since 2018, continually advancing her knowledge through specialized trainings in microneedling, acne treatments, and a wide range of chemical peels. Nicole regularly pursues continuing education to refine her skills and offer her clients the most effective facial treatments and homecare products.

    Nicole is a life long Poulsbo local who loves balancing her work life with her family and friends. When she's not working, you’ll often find her experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, diving into a good fiction book, or going for nature walks with her dog or friends. Nicole believes in finding joy in the little things, and she brings that positive energy to both her personal life and her work in esthetics
